Abstract
Knowledge of the gross anatomy and occlusion pattern of molar teeth in rats is necessary to relate experiments on dental caries in rats to research on causes of caries in man. The gross anatomy of the crowns in rat molars is described, and a hypothetical account of occlusion is advanced. Keywords
