Abstract
The present increase in numbers of overseas students in Australian tertiary institutions has implications for libraries. Overseas library literature has identified problem areas in relation to teaching library use to students from different cultural backgrounds, often with limited English skills. Some Australian university libraries are making special provision for such students, but more could be done. Keywords
