Abstract
The paper considers the problem of matching exactly the transfer function matrix of a given 2-D (two-dimensional) system to that of a desired 2-D model using output feedback, where in the feedback loop proportional (P), integral (I) and derivative (D) terms are present. The approach followed reduces the problem to that of solving a linear system of algebraic equations. Furthermore, necessary and sufficient conditions are established for exact matching. An example is included to illustrate the proposed technique. Keywords
