Abstract
The physiological variation in congestion of the nasal mucosa in 14 healthy unprovoked volunteers was studied with rhinostereometry, a newly invented optical measuring method with an accuracy limit of $ 0.27 mm. No cyclic variation in nasal mucosa congestion was found during 4 hours in any of the 14 volunteers. A reciprocal change in the mucosal congestion between the two nasal cavities was found in 3 (21 %) of the 14.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
