Abstract
A report on the dissection of 75 coyote intestinal tracts collected from 13 counties of Utah. Helminths were recovered from 54 of the 75 animals with a total of 255 nematodes and 1321 tapeworms. Nematodes present in order of predominance were Toxascaris leonina, Toxocara canis, Proto-spirura numidica, Passalurus nonannulatus, and Dermatoxys veligera. The last named constitutes a new record for the coyote. Seven spp. of tapeworms were recovered; Taenia pisiformis was most prevalent; others were Mesocestoides kirbyi, Multiceps packii, Taenia krabbei, T. rileyi, T. hydatigena, and Dipylidium caninum, the last being a new record. Keywords
