Abstract
The leuco-anthocyanins in leaves, fruits and other tissues were con-verted to anthocyanins by heating with 2N HC1 and then identified by paper chromatography. Results are reported for the leaves of a number of representative species and for representative fruits, roots and flowers. Only leuco-cyanidin and leuco-delphinidin were found, except in Rosaceae and a few Leguminosae which contained leuco-paeonidin.Keywords
