Abstract
The energy levels in and have been investigated by means of the reactions and . Protons with energies of 7.04, 7.17, and 7.45 Mev were accelerated with an electrostatic generator, and the reaction products were analyzed with the broad-range spectrograph at various angles between 45 and 130 degrees. Proton groups were observed corresponding to levels in at 0.440, 2.078, 2.393, 2.641, 2.705, 2.983, 3.678, 3.850, 3.915, 4.431, and 4.778 Mev. The ground-state value for the reaction was determined as 2.370±0.008 Mev. Four other alpha-particle groups were observed, corresponding to levels in at 1.635, 4.248, 4.969, and 5.631 Mev.
