Abstract
Counterelectrophoresis (CEP) for detection of vaccinia antigen and antibody is described. This method gives precipitation lines and reactions of immunological identity in less than 1 h. Moreover it is 5 times more sensitive than immunodiffusion (ID). CEP as well as ID are not sensitive enough to be used for the demonstration of vaccinia antibody in vaccinated persons. Keywords
