Abstract
This article describes a study of the expectations of middle- and lower-class patients on entering psychotherapy. The results showed that although both groups are aware of the subject matter to be covered, they differ in their expectations of treatment techniques. Similarities as well as differences exist, with various explanations offered to account for them. Keywords
