Abstract
Planar clusters of interstitials in alkali halides, giving rise to dislocation-loop contrast, have been studied using transmission electron microscopy. These loops are produced together with centers by ionizing radiation. It seems very likely that they consist of planar aggregates of -aligned halogen molecules.
