Abstract
We present detailed results for the susceptibility , correlation length , and specific heat for the model. The best fit to and data is obtained by use of the Kosterlitz-Thouless scaling form with , but shows considerable deviation from ¼ down to . The critical temperature is estimated to be . The simulations are done on , , , and lattices with use of an overrelaxed algorithm which decorrelates as . Similar reduction in critical slowing down is anticipated for all continuous-spin models.
