Abstract
Twenty-six children, aged from 15 days to 14 years, have been treated with cefotaxime. Fourteen suffered from respiratory tract infection, 5 septicaemia, 4 urinary tract infection and 3 otitis media complicating renal failure. The results of this clinical study are presented together with those of serum concentrations of cefotaxime and the effect of the antibiotic on intestinal bacteria.
