Abstract
Scattering experiments with spin-polarized electron beams of 100-1000 eV on magnetic materials are now feasible. In view of this the spin-dependent part of the scattering cross section is calculated in the Born approximation for a ferromagnet in the spin-wave regime. It is evaluated as a function of momentum transfer for Ni and Fe using self-consistent potentials. Keywords
