Abstract
On the basis of feeding experiments made at natural prey densities, the amount of prey consumed daily by the population of the predatory cyclopoid copepod Mesocyclops edax was estimated for three Ontario lakes in which this predator was a dominant component of zooplankton (relative abundance from 18 to 58%). The percent of the total number of zooplankters consumed daily by this predator ranged from 8.6 to 13.6%.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
