Preparation of spherically shaped single crystals by spark cutting

Abstract
A spark cutting method using a stationary and a rotating disc has been developed for preparation of spherical samples. Maximum deviations from a perfect sphere of less than 0.1% can easily be obtained for samples with a diameter of 1-3 mm.Keywords
