Effect of removing pups when mating lactating rats at the post-partum oestrus

Abstract
The removal of rat pups from their dams during mating at the post-partum oestrus improved the rate of copulation and increased the number of pregnancies 2-3 fold. A technique for the mating of lactating rats is described.Keywords
