Abstract
A new blur identification method is proposed which estimates the point spread function (PSF) parameters by comparing the power spectrum of the Wiener restoration residual with its expected value, derived under the assumption that the parameter values tested are correct. The parameter values for which there is the closest match between the residual statistics are chosen as the estimates of the true parameters. The method has successfully identified blur parameters in both synthetically and in-camera blurred images. Keywords
