MEASLES ENCEPHALITIS

Abstract
Thirty-five cases of measles encephalitis over a 15 year period are reviewed. The rising incidence of this complication is suggested. The older average age and the mortality rate occurring in females is noted, and a concept based on previous central nervous system involvement to account for this is presented. The use of gamma globulin is discussed.
