Abstract
A PVC-based membrane of dibenzo-24-crown-8 exhibits good response for Cs+ in a wide concentration range (3.5 × 10–5–1.0 × 10–1 mol dm–3) with a near-Nernstian slope of 50.7 mV per decade of concentration of CsCl. The response time of the sensor is + over other cations. The electrode can be used in a wide pH range (3.0–9.0) and also as the indicator electrode in titrations involving caesium ions. Keywords
