Abstract
A current of about 4.5 knots, at the Atlantic end of the Panama Canal, is estimated both by computations and by hydraulic model tests as the maximum that would be caused in an open sea-level canal at Panama by a tidal range of 20 ft in the Pacific Ocean.Keywords
