Abstract
Extracts have been prepared from the sparganum of Spirometra mansonoides by alkaline digestion and solvent extraction. Addition of these extracts of rat epididymal adipose tissue in vitro stimulated glucose oxidation, utilization of medium glucose for lipogenesis, and cell penetration of D-galactose. Permeability of adipose tissue to D-sorbitol was not influenced. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
