Abstract
Radiation from the 5 GeV electron synchrotron NINA has been used to measure the asymmetry parameter beta for photon energies within the range 20-45 eV associated with the photoionisation process O2x3 Sigma g-+hv to O2+x2 Pi g+e. Agreement with the He I resonance line measurements by others workers is observed at 21.2 eV. For higher photon energies the beta value rises to +1 at about 30 eV and is at considerable variance with theory. Keywords
