Abstract
The TDA and RPA schemes are applied to the entitled subject in the CNDO/S approximation. The transition energies are given for all the lowest singlet and triplet excited states as well as the oscillator strengths for the allowed transitions. It is shown that the RPA gives a fairly good spectrum. Keywords
