Abstract
Gonadectomized female mice of the DBA and CE strains and reciprocal F1 hybrids with adrenal cortical hyperplasia or neoplasms exhibit irregular estrous cycles, as evidenced by vaginal smear. Either adrenal abnormality enables gonadectomized females to mate normally in general, when the vaginal smear indicates an estrus condition, and not otherwise. Keywords
