New type of "crisis" showing hysteresis

Abstract
A new type of "crisis" is found in a quadratic logistic map with periodic modulation. This shows a hysteresis followed from coexistence of two attractors. It is also shown that crises are characterized by discontinuous changes in the power spectrum and Lyapunov number.Keywords
