Abstract
Fracture are corrected has yielded a satisfactory percentage of excellent and good results. No infection occurred when a threaded wire was used and cut below the level of the skin. In two cases in which an unthreaded wire was used and the wire left protruding from the skin, a mild low-grade infection developed around the pin site which subsided readily upon removal of the pins.
