Abstract
WITH THE SIMPLICITY of its fundamental theory and the simplicity of its application, holography is an elegant concept. Moreover it is versatile, being applicable to a variety of imaging and nonimaging problems. Holography certainly warrants serious consideration by biological and medical researchers as a valuable addition to the list of physical techniques that have become essential to them. Keywords
