Abstract
A new set of renormalization-group equations based on the renormalization procedure of 't Hooft and Veltman used in conjunction with the dimensional regularization scheme is presented. These equations have in common with the renormalization-group equations recently introduced by Weinberg the property of being solvable before passing to the high-energy limit. But unlike Weinberg's equations, which are valid only for theories without scalar fields, they are applicable to all renormalizable theories. It is shown that for theories to which Weinberg's approach is applicable, they take the same form as Weinberg's equations. The properties and solution of the equations are discussed. Keywords
