Abstract
1. Factors relating to the urinary excretion test for oral vitamin B12 absorption were studied. A modified procedure is presented giving a high percentage of urinary recovery of radioactivity in the normal. 2. Values in the pernicious anemia range were found in the presence of acute infection and severe renal insufficiency. Other limitations in the interpretation of the test are discussed. Keywords
