Abstract
A method for exposure measurement in X-ray computerized tomography (CT) is discussed. The sequential spatial variation in exposure due to the scanning motion used in CT makes conventional radiography inappropriate. In this method, dose is determined by integrating the measured exposure profile in a direction perpendicular to the slice plane. Accuracy is ensured by sampling the exposure profile at very small distances. Lengths of thin polyethelene tubing filled with powder LiF are used as thermoluminescent dosimeters in the exposure measurements. Application of this method to an Alderson Rando phantom are presented. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
