High Resolution Observations of the 30 Doradus Nebula at 408 MHz

Abstract
High resolution observations of the 30 Doradus Nebula at 408 MHz are presented. A model of the radio emission, based on previous observations, is compared with the present results and found to be in good agreement. These results are also compared with published Balmer line isophotes, and the visual absorption at the centre of the nebula is found to be at least 2 m. 0. An approximate model of the distribution of absorption over the nebula is suggested. The results favour a high value for the ratio of visual absorption to reddening $$(A_v/E_{B-V})$$ in the nebula.
