Abstract
This article examines the effects of intensive probation supervision and treatment to a group of 40 alcoholic offenders. A matched control group of 40 regularly supervised probationers were selected for comparison. Among the factors examined included; contacts, services, criminal behavior, social adjustment and employment. Overall, the results indicated that the alcohol group performed as well as the control group, despite their alcohol dependency. Keywords
