On poles of a transfer-function matrix, poles of the associated characteristic gain function, and fixed and semi-fixed modes

Abstract
Some properties of the set of poles of a transfer-function matrix which are not poles of the corresponding characteristic gain function are examined. In particular, its relationship with the set of modes which are fixed with reference to a. completely decentralized regulator structure is noted.
