Abstract
The Langer transformation is applied to the radial equation for internuclear motion. The quantization integral is obtained and applied to the calculation of the effective potential curve by the Rydberg–Klein–Rees method. First‐ and second‐order RKR expressions for the turning points are derived. It is shown that the Langer transformation affects the RKR method in all orders. Keywords
