Abstract
In a reply to a recent Note by Hirsch [Rev. Sci. Instrum. 42, 1371 (1971)], the several conditions for the feasibility of magnetic field insulation are presented. These conditions are quite similar to those to be satisfied for the magnetic confinement of an electron cloud. Keywords
