Spin Squeezed Atoms: A Macroscopic Entangled Ensemble Created by Light

Abstract
We report on the experimental observation of a spin squeezed ensemble of cold atoms. This macroscopic ensemble is generated via quantum state transfer from nonclassical light to atoms.
