Abstract
The mechanisms whereby there is an increase in the structural fibrous proteins of vulval skin are suggested and one group, collagenase and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteins, was studied. The results suggest that there is a real change associated with lichen sclerosus compared to other vulval disorders; there is a need for further study. Keywords
