Abstract
Corticosteroids were successfully employed to treat a patient with a large hepatic hemangioma which produced congestive cardiac failure. To our knowledge, this is the fifth reported case in which a patient with this condition survived and the first in which corticosteroids were employed. Corticosteroids should be considered as the major form of therapy for hepatic hemangiomas producing congestive heart failure because of the rapid effect on the hemangioma and the relative safety associated with their use. Keywords
