Detection of Electric-Field Turbulence in the Earth's Bow Shock

Abstract
We present the first account of observation of low-frequency fluctuating electric fields generated in the earth's bow shock. We find that the wave amplitude is not a smooth function of space through the shock, but rather that it is strongly correlated with magnetic-field structures within the shock.Keywords
