Abstract
Approx. 100 times greater concns. of streptomycin were required to inhibit intracellular growth of tubercle bacilli in phagocytes than to inhibit extracellular growth in Tween-albumin medium. Minimal inhibitory concns. of isonicotinic acid hydrazide were the same for extracellular growth in the Tween-albumin medium and for intracellular growth in tissue culture.
