Abstract

The kinetics of ¹²⁵IUdR incorporation and the toxicity of this compound for prelabeled mammalian tissue culture cells were examined. The compound was both radioactively and chemically toxic but at low concentrations it provided a reproducible means of labeling target cells for use in cytotoxicity assays. The implications of use of this compound in cytotoxicity assays are discusse.
