Abstract
It is shown on the basis of experiments with CoSi(57Co) in a high magnetic field and with magnetically ordered Co0.5Fe0.5Si that iron does not develop a magnetic moment greater than 0.1 μB at low temperature in the system Co1−xFexSi. The results also indicate that the magnetic properties are not directly related to the electron and hole bands pertinent to transport properties. The isomer shift shows that the configuration of Fe is independent of composition over the entire range of composition. The electron concentration dependence of the quadrupole splitting is discussed. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
