Abstract
Fiala Pierre, "Which differences? Racism again, still discourse analysis" Thanks to work in sociology, economy, ideology (0. Cox on the grounds of racism in the '50s ; C. Guillaumin on the ideological and discursive mechanisms of racialization in the '70s), more recent research on discourse analysis dealing with racism and xenophobia is not limited to strictly political or ethic viewpoints. Connected with other domains of linguistics (socio-linguistics, ethnography of communication, lexicology, the study of argumentation, pragmatics), discourse analysis does help towards advancing anti-racist thinking.
