Abstract
Summary A comparative study of the effect of three arsenicals against natural infections of E. histolytica in Macaca mulatta show that all three are effective in the doses used when administered daily for ten days. The same drugs in the same dosages were much less effective against E. polecki in the same animals. These differences point out the necessity of differentiating between natural infections of E. histolytica and of E. polecki in monkeys when amebicides are to be evaluated by testing them against natural infections of E. histolytica in monkeys.
