Abstract
Few studies (1,2,3.4) have hitherto been made on the microflora of paddy soils and no paper appears to be found on their actinomycete flora. According to the results obtained in the authors' laboratory. paddy soils harbored characteristic microflora in comparison with upland soils. They suggest that paddy field condition, i. e. water-logged condition kept during rice growing season, strongly affects the microflora. Keywords
