The Present Status of Calibrations of Ionization Dosemeters with High-Voltage X-Rays

Abstract
The experimental procedure adopted in calibrations of ionization dosemeters with 2 MV X-rays (constant potential), half-value layer, 12.6 mm Cu, is described briefly. A repetition accuracy of 0.5% may be assigned to the laboratory equipment used for these calibrations. The absolute accuracy is clearly much less. Care should be exercised in assigning an absolute significance to the results, since analysis indicates a systematic error of up to + 3% is not unlikely.
