Abstract
A fast, relatively simple method is described for liberating the oncospheres of specific cestode eggs. The eggs are treated with pepsin and trypsin solutions approximating concentrations found in normal gastric juice, with phosphate added as an activator. Treatment is carried out at approximately 38[degree]C for 5 minutes. The presence of moving oncospheres following the above treatment provides evidence of viability of the eggs. The entire procedure requires approximately 20 minutes for completion. Keywords
