Abstract
Both cigar and cigarette tobacco produce an increase in the number of goblet cells in the rat trachea and intrapulmonary airways over a six-week period. The increase in goblet cells is similar for the two types of tobacco; in both it is proportional to increase in dose and greatest in the proximal intrapulmonary airways. Keywords
