Health Status of the Cuban Population

Abstract
The health status of the Cuban population is an expression of the social development attained by the Cuban Revolution. A comparative analysis is presented of the behavior of the main components that express health status (natality, mortality, other demographic indicators, morbidity, disability, and physical development) from the triumph of the Revolution until the present. The statistics demonstrate the radical and positive transformation of the health of the population. The trend toward social homogeneousness in health in Cuba is also assessed.
