Abstract
The ventricular brain ratio (VBR) was measured in a group of 33 young in‐patient schizophrenics and 25 controls. Results confirmed significant lateral ventricular enlargement in the schizophrenic patients, but could not demonstrate any association between the VBR and age or length of illness. Some aspects of the studied sample are discussed. Keywords
